Detectives in India are seeing a number of cases concerning relationships started over the internet. They say that an increasing number of young women joining the workforce has created new opportunities for illicit affairs, along with the addition of India's middle class meeting their spouses frequently over the internet has led to this surge in demand for private investigations.
In many such cases, these detectives are discovering that the subject of their investigation is already married or is having an affair. In such cases, the potential spouse gets forewarned that their significant other is not faithful or is just after a dowry. In one recent case , female detective Taralike Lahiri uncovered a marriage with children for one of her clients. Her client's family was concerned for their daughter entering into a relationship over the internet, and with good cause. It turns out this man was simply trying to scam the family out of dowry money.
These female detectives insist they make better detectives than men, as less people will expect a woman to be in this role, as well as a woman's instict and attention to details. Read more about these female detectives from The Independent.

These female detectives maybe do a great job, but it's a little exaggerating that they are better than male private investigators.
